DHL ON DEMAND DELIVERY UPDATE
DHL has just announced changes and clarifications with their new Non-Contact Deliveries. This delivery method is intended to maintain your safety, the safety of their couriers and ensure reliable delivery services are maintained.
Customers who do not wish to sign on scanners or on paper due to social distancing can use the Signature Release option. The following important rules apply for Signature Release:
Shipments keep the signature requirement, unless the receiver authorises release using On Demand Delivery. You can do this using the Tracking link and DHL’s online platform. (Please see the On Demand Delivery info-graphic below).
2. Accesses ODD website via smart link.
3. Makes delivery option change request.
4. DHL receives and executes the request.
5. Receiver gets an updated notification.
6. Package delivered according to Receiver's instruction.
DELIVERY OPTION CHANGE REQUESTS AVAILABLE
Receivers may select a new delivery date up to seven calendar days from the originally scheduled date.
Receivers authorise delivery without collecting a signature.
Receivers instruct that the shipment is delivered to a nominated neighbour.
Receivers can have their shipment delivered to a nearby DHL Service Point.
Nearest service point locations are listed and mapped.
DHL Service Centers, Partner Service Points & Parcel Lockers all may be offered, depending on country
Receivers request delivery to a different address.
If on holiday, Receivers may request delivery up to 30 calendar days from the originally scheduled date.
ALL CHANGES ARE CONFIRMED ON SCREEN AND BY EMAIL
RECEIVER ALERTS
In-transit SMS and email alerts keep Receivers informed of scheduled delivery.
Notifications are sent at pick-up, when out for delivery, and proactively for incidents.
